6/13/2022The Peace of a Good Conscience!
Season 10, Ep. 213
The absence of concern or debate about the human conscience does not minimize its reality and serious, base, fundamental component of being human. As we give some focused thoughts about “conscience”, my hope is that we can help steer people we love and care about toward a greater awareness of their need to give attention to their conscience, and to not ignore it or take it for granted.God’s grace, mercy, and love has equipped each of us as humans with a conscience, and the wonderful greatness andsovereignty of it as the image bearer of God should provoke us to know ourselves, and in this sense, love, respect, and reverence ourselves more than all other creatures, friends, and acquaintances. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. If a person’s conscience knew its power and authority, it would not allow itself to be silenced, abused, restrained, and kept under, being under God, the lord-controller of the soul, and supervisor of life.Acts 24:16, Hebrews 13:18NIH article on conscience.Google Dictionary Definitions fromOxford LanguagesCut & Paste Personal Invitation to invite your friends to check out “gwot.rocks” podcast:I invite you to check out the podcast, “gwot.rocks: God, the World, and Other Things!” It is available on podcast players everywhere!
