The Pursuit of Good Health!

Season 2, Ep. 30
All of us want to be healthy, yet in our pursuit of good health, we encounter life challenges that work to derail us. In this episode, Kenny points out three powerful tips that will help you on your way: 1)Make time for yourself!, 2)Let others inspire you!, 3)Find out what YOU enjoy doing that can get your heart rate up!Side note: there are a jillion free exercise videos on YouTube that you can use right there in your living room to lead you through whatever starting level of cardio challenge you can handle as you get started. As my oldest son was headed toward marriage, he took the time to look his best for his important wedding day. He dod the P90X video workout in our living room on a daily basis. I did not put much stock in the concept at the time, that of a video workout done right in your living room. I was amazed at what a physical transformation took place for him! Home videos work if YOU will work them! On to great health!Podcast email: gwot.rocks@transformthiscity.orgWebsite of the organization that produces gwot.rocks: http://www.transformthiscity.orgTo help support the podcast: http://www.transformthiscity.org/donateTransform This City is an IRS 501(C)(3) and your donation is tax deductible.Definitions used are from Google unless otherwise noted.Advance equilibrium in the midst of an agitated world-tell your family, friends and work associates about the podcast! Other Things

Season 2, Ep. 29
This is a vignette of Ida May Moon, a West Texas Rancher that allowed me into her world, there on her two thousand acre homesteaded ranch. She was the embodiment of Texas hospitality! I am thankful for the opportunity to have been able to roam the prairies, creeks, and ridges of The Moon Ranch during the formative years of my life. It really was a once in a lifetime thing. As I mentioned in the podcast, here are some map-codes to give you a look at The Moon Ranch for yourself. The barns are delaptidated or collapsed completely now, but the structures are still visible form the air. Below is a hand drawn map made by my father. It is decades before the internet or an cost effective means of having an aerial map. You can see he did a pretty good job of his assessment as to the relationships between the geographical structures. I found the map in a brown envelope in his old hand made chain saw box. That pleasant find was just a few months prior to the posting of this podcast!Google Map Codes for The Moon Ranch - copy and past in the Google Maps search bar.The Moon Family Cemetery Q653+XX Breckenridge, TexasThe Moon Ranch Rock Ranch House Q654+3H Breckenridge, TexasPrimary Barns for farm implementsQ644+RQ Breckenridge, TexasOur Campsite Location Q624+JM Breckenridge, TexasVintage Hand Drawn Map of The Moon Ranch https://www.facebook.com/gwot.rocks/photos/a.311569533556796/311568763556873Podcast email: gwot.rocks@transformthiscity.orgWebsite of the organization that produces gwot.rocks: http://www.transformthiscity.orgTo help support the podcast: http://www.transformthiscity.org/donateTransform This City is an IRS 501(C)(3) and your donation is tax deductible.Advance equilibrium in the midst of an agitated world-tell your family, friends and work associates about the podcast! I Hate Racism

Season 2, Ep. 28
Violence continues to rage in the streets of major cities across our country like Portland, Oregon, where the impotent elected leaders sit by by pleading for the violence to stop-sitting on their hands as mayhem ensues. Chicago - ten people shot dead over the weekend and 60 more wounded in shootings across the city. In New York City last month, 205 shootings - the most violent June for the city in 24 years. Obviously, the elected officials of our land have resorted to an insane approach to the violence by passive pleas that only embolden the racist, hateful, violent people. God has a better way - the way that works. This podcast defines what racism is and how, through the power of God, we can dismantle it!"Speaking of Jesus: The Art of Not-Evangelism" by Carl Medearis, (David C. Cook Publisher) available on Amazon and other book retailers.CORRECTION! I pointed to the book of Romans with regards to the full of armor of God. My brain skipped a track when I was recording! You can find the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10-18. My show reviewer (my wife!) was staying over helping with our new grand-baby #3 and I posted it without her review (shame on me!) but, hey, in my defense, Paul also gives a brief reference to it in the book of Romans as well: Romans 13:12 "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light." #racismPodcast email: gwot.rocks@transformthiscity.orgWebsite of the organization that produces gwot.rocks: http://www.transformthiscity.orgTo help support the podcast: http://www.transformthiscity.org/donateTransform This City is an IRS 501(C)(3) and your donation is tax deductible.Advance equilibrium in the midst of an agitated world-tell your family, friends and work associates about the podcast!
