The Unnoticed Need...

Season 10, Ep. 215

The rich young ruler bowed his knees before Jesus as he repetitively questioned him, but he would not bow his heart to him. The unnoticed need that the rich young ruler had was the one roadblock to him gaining eternal life. Jesus’s response was spoken in love but painfully received by the man. The fulfillment of the lack is impossible with man, but Jesus leaves us with the encouraging words "All things are possible with God!" What a different world it would be if we would go all in with Jesus!

Mark 10:17-22

“Francois, is it Safe to Go On?”

Season 10, Ep. 216
St. Athanasius, in his book, On the Incarnation, writes “The Self-revealing of the Word is in every dimension - above, in creation; below, in the Incarnation; in the depth, in Hades; in the breadth, throughout the world. All things have been filled with the knowledge of God.”When the knowledge of God is present through the Living Word, Jesus Christ, everything bears his mark. Even down to the animal kingdom where you live. This episode is an update on this adventure ride through God’s animal kingdom!St. Athanasius QuoteLaSalle’s River Adventure background material/quote sourceOther Things with Mindi ObenhausOther Things with Mark Maxwellxmasclock.comCut & Paste Personal Invitation to invite your friends to check out “gwot.rocks” podcast:I invite you to check out the podcast, “gwot.rocks: God, the World, and Other Things!” It is available on podcast players everywhere! Happy! Happy! Happy!

Season 10, Ep. 214
The thought of delight in religion is so strange to most people, that no two words in their language stand further apart than "holiness" and "delight." But, believers who know Christ understand that delight and faith are so beautifully united. Those of us who love God with all our hearts, find that his ways are ways of pleasantness, and all his paths are peace.Psalm 37:4 says to “Take delight in the Lord.“ Theinstruction of these words to some must seem very surprising and odd, but to us who are sincere believers it is only the reinforcement of a recognized truth. The life of the believer is described as a delight in God because it is a wonderful fact that true religion overflows with happiness and joy. Can you look back over your life and testify that your life has been a delight in the Lord?Psalm 37 is 40 verses long and an extremely powerful encouragement to us on how and why we should find delight in the Lord in the midst of these trying times. To be clear, in the podcast I talk about a people group I had the privilege to serve who were polytheistic in their religion. The Christian Bible is clear in its teaching that there is only ONE God. Polytheism is the construct of fallen man.Psalm 37Cut & Paste Personal Invitation to invite your friends to check out “gwot.rocks” podcast:I invite you to check out the podcast, “gwot.rocks: God, the World, and Other Things!” It is available on podcast players everywhere!
